Well, I think the German football team could use with some reinforcement following their less than spectacular sophomore effort versus Croatia.

They lost 2-1 and seemed very normal throughout the game, displaying none of the commanding presence that they had shown during their 2-0 defeat over Poland in game 1.

So here’s a song that I produced together with Daniel Lauer from Blindflug together with Patrick Kukwa and Claudius Staudte from Captain Zorx Stimmungsattacke.

So Team Germany, go tell the Austrians to stay in the kitchen and keep away from the football field!

For those of you who didn’t know–I haven’t ever admitted this before–I have an estranged older brother Stuart. Bad ol’ Stu is the black sheep in our family.

I mean, this is the guy who destroyed my childhood idyll by playing sacriligious black metal tapes by bands such as Venom, Mercyful Fate and Celtic Frost at maximum volume on our family’s 8-track deck. Well, I did introduce him to drumming but it still didn’t help him from getting booted out of his own band. Sheesh, always the problem child.

My only escape from his onslaught of mayhem was to immerse myself in the sanctity of The Sound Of Music soundtrack featuring Julie Andrews. Perhaps this is the seed that was sown in my head and later lead to my fondness for hackbretts, lederhosen and yodelling?
